> Have been watching Web topics in the forum with great interest. Haven't seen this exact question/recommended solution on the following scenario:
> Running a VFP app on a PC with the VFP tables on a web server; i. e. the web server functioning as a "network server".
> I am not interested in webifying the GUI in my VFP app, but just accessing the VFP data on the web server so that anyone with internet access and my app can get to the data. Is there a simple solution anywhere like just "mapping" to the web server and the appropriate directory or must I build web server software using FOXISAPI, etc.?

Foxisapi is not a must, there are lots of different ways. Personally, I think foxisapi is one of the easiest ways to put VFP on the web. Other ways are ASP but also west-wind from
www.west-wind.com. Most options require you build your own VFP COM server (EXE or DLL). I suggest you take a look at the articles section of
www.west-wind.com. You can gain a lot of knowledge from these articles.
