"Invalid browse setup - default setup used" happens when you issue a BROWSE LAST and there is no previous browse definition stored in FOXUSER (from memory)

Hmm.. The text1.fontsize obviously sounds like a device-type problem but it might not be.
What are you browsing ?
Is there a filter condition ?
Can you post some code of the SELECT statement that you are browsing ?
