Hi,
Thanks for the kind thought. I am A-OK (though a little shaken.) Our offices are a few blocks from the White House and it seems as though every minute the building is shaking as jet fighters buzz the airspace above us, and there is a near constant siren in the air as gov't VIPs are moved from one location to another.
I had crashed out on the boss's couch around 6 AM after working straight from Sunday afternoon. I got a call at 9 or so from a co-worker and a call shortly thereafter from another co-worker's wife. First call ("There is smoke at the WTC"), I went back to sleep. The second one got me to turn the TV on.
I was doubly blessed, as a granduncle who has an office in the WTC was on vacation and an uncle who is a NYC firefighter was still prepping at the collapse.
I haven't felt right since it happened - almost perpetual nasua and anxiety - and I'm sure that many other people have the same. Anycase, I'm appreciative and express great sympathy for those with family members who suffered.
Again, thanks for your kind words and my best hopes and prayers go out to the civilized world in addressing this act.
Matthew
