Thank you for your help.

Two parts of my need are missing from the solution you have offered.

1 The copied files have to have specific TEMP_xx names to match many prgs I have written'

2 The copied tables need to be opened with the specific TEMP_xx aliases.

the previous routine was fine except for the 'opening' of the new copied tables.

I am attempting to add to your code to get my special names via a lookup and Brads code - for next loop.

I am not an expert coder but I do try to provide useful software to augment the 'master' application.
