Thanks Khalil.

Unfortunately using USE table IN 0 results in the same error message - "File is in use".

The weird thing is if I try to debug it with an IF USED("table") condition I get .F.

So on the one hand I'm being told the file is not being used but after my MESSAGEBOX() I get the error message that it is being used.

Any more ideas?

Thanks.

Russell.
