I have read all your answers about if foxpro is a dead language or no. From Eric Website for the VFP Boss on microsoft, and the upgrading to Europa (VFP9)
and Jamie Provides with 2 big company still using VFP (1) The U.S. military have a system called J-FAST and (2) American Express , and the approach Mr. Boudewijn Lutgerink gave about doing the same job if not better in cheaper price.
I have another question. Who judge if a specific language is dead, Microsoft?, so if microsoft stopped upgrading VFP or C++ or VB, is that mean that VFP and C++ and VB are dead languages, My teacher who was teaching me FOXPRO, is now working in a goverment agency which still work on COBOL. so could any one says that COBOL is a dead language. so Is Dead Languages terms that microsoft stopped supporting this language, or it mean that there is no company or programmer or running application working on that language?
