Sometimes it's better to give a hint, colleague Tariq, or just point on where to look for the answers than re-print (even with copy-paste) the answer here.

Besides, if the requestor is a programmer with some experience (like yourself) - (s)he does not need step-by-step guidance here. (Of course, in dealing with a novice it's sometimes better to give some code or step-by-step guidance, but even then...)

If you noticed, I had also given just that much in some of my replies to colleagues with experience (yourself included) during my years on this forum, and that was enough to get them going. The same applies to yours truly: I rarely need the code (I can put it together myself - and so can you), and more often - an algorithm, or some guidance (of the HOWTO kind).

So, what colleague Gagnon did here was exactly that: he gave you an advice, counting in and relying on the fact that you, colleague Tariq, is not a novice but a VFP programmer with good experience.
