In the left pane, expand "Shared Folders" and check the Shares, Sessions and Open Files nodes. You can connect to any other Win2k/XP box by rightclicking "Computer Management (Local)". In WinNT4, you need to open the Server applet in the control panel and click on one of the buttons on the Server dialog. Don't remember the exact caption, but I think it's "In use" or something.

Hi Eric,
100% correct sir.... but most of my users do not have this permission. For me tis fine,
but I have others trying to find out who has specific applications open. In these cases
I use this utility for them... they cannot do any damage.....heee heee !
As an example, our main maintenance program runs on an Oracle backend. Backups
require an off line backup, so all users must be out and the Oracle listener service, etc.
stopped. The person assigned to backups only has to be able to fact find if anyone
is in the system, call them and advise to exit. This utility provides for this viewing
only with the ability to cut the connection via a right-click on the connection.

Pete from the Great White North. (Only in Canada, ay.) Over and Out ...
