Here you go. From John Koziol who was working at MS, talking about the arguments for keeping VFP going :
"Those arguments were made. In fact, the approach Randy and Ken took for getting approval for Sedna was to leverage SQL Server 2005, Vista, etc..."
It shows that the VFP team had to argue just to get Sedna approval, let alone a new core version of VFP.
The VFP team aren't all that evil after all :)
