I guess the issue is "what happens after Vista". Given that it will last for 4 years and not be called anything else e.g. Visto, Vister, before 2015, I guess I wont be making any drastic shift to dot net (although eventually I will, but not basic).
My hopes will be pinned on Vista and the VFP9 SP that will be released for it.
Honestly, I dont know why MS opted to market gwbasic (
VB.NET) over the fox. in fact i agree with you in your other post, VFP can be used to market SQL Server, not compete with it.
What crucial advantages does Basica /
VB.NET have over the fox anyhow? I smell that this "wind of change" passed throu s sewer or something.
