Definetely you should. Who decides one is expert and one is not:)
Sometimes the brilliant solution comes from one who is a newbie to an area (like happened to me just once on a Windows Internals forum, where I were less than a beginner. To my luck, I ended up a discussion lasting for days with a simple suggestion like "Try removing computer case cover" - simple and solved, the problem was with overheating of the computer and all experts were trying to solve the meaning of BlueScreenOfDeath via debug sessions).
And, most importantly, you learn by just trying to answer and/or from your mistakes corrected by others. Don't get embrassed to be corrected or be wrong.
