Hi,
I think if you take a look... I code in MS Access, VB, and VFP... VFP's
report writer can do anything that I want it to. The VFP reporter's
ability, closely integrated to the VFP database manager makes it a
far better choice that writing reports in Access to print VFP data.
As to printing reports out of Access.. I do not know of a direct way
from within VFP (possibly someone else knows if you can). I do
know that you can purchase Access report runtime engine that
will allow you to run reports from any language. The runtime
included with MS Access, allows you to disrtibute the entire
MS Access apps, but no mention of seperate reports.
As another option, if you want a full featured report writer,
Crystal Reports is another option. It can create a stand alone
EXE of a report that can be called from any application.
