Els-QB
Thread ID: 9106 Michael Gill Els-QB I have a customer that is used to creating her own queries in
Paradox. I could write all the different queries for her, but she likes the feeling of control querying the tables gives her. So far, she has to come to me for everything because I she doesn't have VFP installed (and wouldn't know how to use it if she did) and she doesn't really like to. Anyway, I've seen the query generator she's used to and it's very simplistic but she's been around programming for a few years now. Those of you that have used Els-QB, do you suppose an average computer user and a very novice programmer could use Els-QB effectively? Or would they get more headaches (and give them to me in the meantime

paradox ODBC error Hi all,
My company has just bought a third party software developed in Delhi with a
paradox backend, they want me to write some bolt on bits, to do this I need to connect to the
Paradox data, I copied the
paradox to a local drive for testing I set up a system DSN using the Microsoft
Paradox Driver (*.db) version 4.00.6019.00 and tried to create a remote view to one of the tables using this connection, this all worked fine. The problem comes when I try to connect to the data that is being used by the Delhi Application I get this error: Connectivity error: [Microsoft][ODBC
Paradox Driver] Unexpected error from external database

RE: BTRIEVE - What database language talks to it and is there an ODBC driver?
Thread ID: 3229 Michael Gill RE: BTRIEVE - What database language talks to it and is there an ODBC driver? I just received a bunch of files from which I need to retrieve data. My only "hints" as to what it is: 1) There's a BTRIEVE.EXE in the directory, and 2) there's a bunch of *.DAT files (I've determined this is where the data actually resides).

Hi Cheryl,
The only thing I know is that Merant has a bunch of nice ODBC drivers. Their
Paradox one did wonders for me anyway. I didn't see a reference to Btrieve on the driver

There is a utility called Data Junction that can convert tables from many different types to other types. http://www.datajunction.com/

I take it you have the correct ODBC driver installed for both VFP and

Hi Craig,
I assume from your note this use to work and suddenly stopped?
I would start right off in the Start-Setting-Control Panel-32Bit window and
select my ODBC driver
