RE: Thor - ?
Thread ID: 358937 Tamar Granor RE: Thor - ? This is what I did last time - and reproduced once again: downloaded the ZIP file, unZIPed it into a specially madce directory, then changed the Options/Files Location and ran Code Refernce item off the VFP's menu. > Same result both times: couple "argument is invalid" errors, and then - the demand to install Thor. I don't think you can run GoFish from the Code References menu item. Run it from the Command Window or from your own custom menu. (This is why Thor is so handy; it hooks right in.) Tamar

P.S. critics like I did have a peek into the code: the parameters in the Main proc are not made 100% optional, judging by the way the author handled it, IMHO without any specification, that is not so friendly and disregarded by me. > My dear Koen, Ilya, I can be short: a. install a virus scanner on your mail server. He should also protect his network. You were able to download and install crap on a corporate machine. No offence, but this guy should be fired. If he had protected his network against spyware/adware/virusware, you wouldn't have to waste time and money removing it. If he had protected his network by lowering your privileges, you wouldn't have been able to install the crapware. Those are two very dumb mistakes

I never do such things at work, neither at home. That was kind of Trojan Horse(shit) that sneaks in and installs by itself. That's exactly my point. If he had protected his network (and that includes your machine) then this trojan crap would never have gotten on your computer. If you were NOT running as an admin, then this crapware couldn't even install by itself. You can perfectly do your work without being an Admin on your computer. OK, if you're playing with the registry a lot then you might have some difficulties there, but I always

You have two options here, the hard way and the simple way. My guess is you want to protect the data in the application against preying eyes. The simple way is to install a password protected screensaver that cannot be altered by the user (only admins can do that!) No code on your behalf, no maintenance, nothing to worry about. The hard way is as follows: Since this timer is not running every second or so (more like every few minutes) the first thing to do
