Access MDB to DBC
Thread ID: 20817 Pete Sass Access MDB to DBC Hi, I know there is another thread regarding this topic, however I am looking for help for sure. I have an MS Access database (mdb) consisting of approx. 90 tables with record numbers up in the 100,000 range in the tables. I want to port this into VFP 8.0 tables inside a DBC in order to utlize the RI features with the DBC. I have downloaded the MDB2DBC tool mentioned and attempted to run in many times. I ususally get part way through the MDB and then the MDB2DBC.APP craps out with the following error: 1429 OLD IDispatch exception code 0 from DAO.Recordset: No current record.... Investiagation seems like the converter craps out in some Access tables

dbc 2 mdb utility
Thread ID: 72576 Rob Brioul dbc 2 mdb utility A few years back there was a great utility called dbc2mdb and mdb2dbc, conversion utils by someone of the FoxTeam. I dug up these utils but they no longer work with a dbc created with VFP9. Anyone knows of a conversion utility that can (automatically) create a access-mdb of a vfp-dbc? Rob

mdb2dbc function code
Thread ID: 73051 Ryan Lashway mdb2dbc function code How would one go about accomplishing the functions that the mdb2dbc app accomplishes. I have a application that right now I manually do the same function because I need to move data into fields with different names, fileter data and not bring all the fields.................... Also, is there a way to do the opposite of this function, froms a dbc to a mdb creating tables within the mdb ? I know its a lot to ask, but it would save me a ton of time and coding. Ryan J. So now I create remote views of the Access tables in VFP copy the structure out to a VFP table first. Then COPY TO TEMP.TXT TYPE SDF Then open my VFP blank table and APPEND FROM TEMP.TXT TYPE SDF Then add into the DBC All this can be done in code which I do not have here at home. As well
