Hello to all,

just to share some experience....

I installed windows7 some time ago on a notebook without cd-rom using the windows7 usb download tool,
had no problem.

Now I tried again on other machines for a repair-disk and , hmm, it took some time :-)

Here are some traps of the tool
Does not work if pc has UEFI Bios
You cannot make 64bit sticks from a 32bit system (and vice versa)
If it shows your stick under harddrives (not under exchangeable media) it may fail
It may not burn the repair iso, just the full windows7 iso

Other traps
To boot a linux system, stick must have FAT32 not NTFS

And some solutions
Use "rufus" or similar tool
You can do it manually by using cmd-tool diskpart and extracting (winrar, 7z) and copying files from the iso (pls. google for details and BE CAREFUL)
