It also applies when SET FILTER is in effect. The LOCATE FOR .F. is not my solution. IIRC, to do a fast un-ordered GO BOTTOM, create a weird-looking index tag: INDEX ON "A" TAG xATAG. Then SET ORDER TO TAG xATAG DESCENDING then LOCATE. Last record.
