As Ilya pointed out, Seek() expects string expressions in the second and third parameter, so if there are no variables in your scenario val="val" and valantable="valantable", you'd need to add quotation marks.

FWIW, better use the standard yourtable.CDX compound index file rather than the older many-separate.IDX'es approach.
