Assuming there is a record where propono = newprono you could check that the value of _TALLY is greater than 0 after each UPDATE.

Also, I'm not sure it's a great idea to use:

.... = ThisForm.Text1.Value

It might be better to use:

upd_val = ThisForm.Text1.Value
update table2 set propono=newprono where propono=upd_val
update table3 set propono=newprono where propono=upd_val
update table6 set propono=newprono where propono=upd_val
