I want the button to say 'LOCKED' else 'UNLOCKED'. the column sparce is .f. to display the button but all the captions are set to the last value in the table. Can anyone help?

You can add two buttons with those captions to the same column and then use the column.DynamicCurrentControl property.
Or "tweak" any .Dynamic* property and assign the button.Caption in a custom method, e.g.:
This.ColumnX.DynamicForeColor = "Thisform.myMethod()" && w/o quotes in the property sheet.
And in myMethod() assign the button.Caption and Return Rgb(0,0,0).
