> Make sure you don't have a config.fpw file with SCREEN=OFF somewhere in the .exe's folder. Also make sure you're not doing version checking where you set _screen.visible = .F. when it's a compiled program but not when it's run through the design environment.

Thank you Michael - the screen=off in config.fpw was the problem. I appreciate it very much - you save me hours of searching.
