Jim,

I Will look it up. I want to get this on line shortly. However, I also have files from another program and server I have to do the same thing to. But that's a little easier. I know they are NULL chars. Just there will be one for every deleted char in the table.

We are going through big changes here. All the data tables I have been pulling the ASCII data files from are getting wrapped in data bases. One program is Oracle, the other is SQL Server. I have to adapt fourteen years of code to handle these new databases. One of them by Monday.

My feeling is, "Let's all go back to DOS".
