Your initial post says you have a cursor. It could've come from:
SELECT * ;
    FROM foo ;
    WHERE .f. ;
    INTO CURSOR c_foo READWRITE

Change your CREATE CURSOR line to CREATE TABLE c:\temp\foo.dbf and see if the problem goes away.

In the alternative, take your source table and do the SELECT statement above to create your cursor in advance. You may be running into a condition where a field or fields do not mate up exactly between your cursor and your table, even though they're named the same.
