Well, colleague, if you insist...
Here's the "simple, working example":

CREATE CURSOR C_TEST (c_Fld C(10), n_Fld N(12,4))

LOCAL m.c_Fld, m.n_Fld, m.I, lcPath

lcPath = 'D:\Temp\'
FOR m.I = 1 TO 10
	m.c_Fld = [Record #] + TRANSFORM(m.I)
	m.n_Fld = m.I * 10000 / .75
	INSERT INTO C_TEST FROM MEMVAR
NEXT m.I

SELECT C_TEST
COPY TO (m.lcPath + 'C_TEST.DBF')
BROWSE NOWAIT
RETURN

that works perfectly on that same machine. And it doesn't help to resolve the problem. IOW, this "simple, working example" is utterly useless. Therefore, I didn't ask for any specific advice, but only for an idea. And June provided me with quite a good one!
I, however, found the way around on my own by that time.

What I am trying to convey is this: even a persisting malfunction cannot always be reproduced with a "sample code", especially - when the real code itself is 157.75% "legit". I am sure, Gene, that you've been in those shoes yourself, haven't you? ;-)
And - yes, "everyone's guessing", and that's exactly what I expected. I needed only the idea, that's it, coz (patting myself on the back :-) ) having been working with Fox since 1989 I hope I can realize the idea myself - won't you agree, colleague? ;-)

Regards,

Ilya
