Yes that wouldn't work in VFP6. With VFP6 use a character that you're sure it's not used in your data, then do a filetostr(strtofile()) if file size is not big. If it's big then a C FLL would be better performance wise (in that case inform me and I'd give C code and steps for creating the FLL -if you have C compiler, probably you do as part of VS6- if not the FLL itself:)

ie: assume % character do not appear in data:

copy to myFile.txt delimited with "%"
StrToFile(Chrtran(FileToStr('myFile.txt'),'%',''), 'myFile.txt')
