For Example I Have a Remote View Named 'City' that contains three records namely 'Mombasa', 'Nairobi', and 'Kisumu'. Now I want to create a cursor and assign the field names from the remote view 'City'. What would be an alternative if this is not possible.

Peter,
It is called kind of crosstab. There are actually many ways of doing that. One simple way would be:

Select Chrtran(Trim(cityName),space(1),'_'), 'C', 20, 0 from city into array laCities
Create Cursor myCities from array laCities
