I believe what you are looking for is something called "Mail Merge." Begin by looking this up in Word help. Basically, you can create a DSN to your VFP tables (and in VFP 6, you could even use the ODBC drivers.) Once you have your data source, you can then add merge fields to your document and then run the mail merge.

You can automate this through VFP if you wish to, but I have never found the need. My Mail Merge users know how to create a mail merge document and can do so as required. I don't have to program it.
