Outstanding! Thanks very much.

That gives me good data that I can work with without the ugly/flaky workarounds I was going to have to adopt. I haven't properly dissected it yet so I am going to spend some time properly understanding what it is doing so I don't have to keep coming back to the forum whenever I get a different XML structure that I need to play with.

Your comment about the XML Schema being wrong is probably correct. I wasn't provided with a schema so I used an online schema generator to build one but obviously the generators are fairly generic and don't know the subtleties of the XML structure. I must admit I don't know enough about XSDs so I couldn't see what was wrong with it.

This has been a great help, once I fully understand what is going on under the bonnet I'll benchmark it against the huge XML I was getting.

Thank you again.
