OK Rose, I am a bit confused as to what you are looking for.
You have an executable sitting on a share on a server and you want to run that exe on your computer? You can do this easily. You set up your shortcut target as \\MyServer\MyShare\MyExe.EXE and it will run. You can even run it directly from your VFP command window with
If you are trying to get another machine to run that exe from your computer, you can do this through Terminal Services/Remote Desktop. If you install the EXE on the server, you can log in to the server using Remote Desktop and run the EXE from there - just as if you had walked into the server room and logged on to the server console.
If you are talking about creating a client/server sort of thing where you send a command to the server and then the server performs that command, then this is a bit more difficult. You would have to create your own server program, you can use something like VFPServer, or you can go to a true client server like SQL or Oracle.
Can you give us a better description of what it is you are trying to do?
You shall know the truth - and the truth shall set you free. (John 8:33)
