> I am having a problem with a foxpro for dos version 2.6 program. This program ran fine on windows 95, but one of our clients decided to add 3 computers with win 98 at their offices. This program runs fine on all of the machines in the office even a couple more 98 machines, but when all three users are in the program on the new machine it usually crashes. It gives a file read error. Does anyone know what might be causing this. Another important note is that all of the 3 machines that cause the error share 3 printer using HP Jet Direct software. Do you think that this could be the problem. I really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi Chris,

This could be anything. If there is a winnt or win2k machine at the office, i'd use that machine as file server because the file share management on winnt/win2k operating systems is better then on win9x. Do you know a specific line of code that fails?
