Dear Experts,
can someone help me change the 'Folder' attributes of my entire system from 'Read Only'. Only the folders turn read only, not the files within them. I am facing difficulty sharing file over the LAN.

I tried everything but the attributes keep setting back to 'read only' almost instantaneously.

Has someone heard of Virus that does this, if yes, is there any effective removal tool available?

Even formatting the Hard Disk does not help.

I have tried the Solution provided by microsoft at 'Support.microsoft.com/?id= 326549' which requires editing the registry. That too does not help.

If it is a permissions/authority issue, how can I set the proper permissions? I log in as the Administrator.

Thanks!
kulwant
