> I have a form set as "In top level form". If I close it by hitting 'X' in the top right, it closes itself and the main form. I want the main form to stay open. First, does X call the destroy event? How do I prevent the main form from closing?

Try to follow your code details while debugging.
Or provide the working stand-alone examle to reproduce the behavior.
