However, why a menu popup "Format" appears on the menu bar right to "Exit" when I click "Pad1"->"Bar1"->"Close It" and the form "Bar1" closes? Can I avoid it?

That really bothers me too and I think it shows up when you are in IDE (and in an editor) and I expect it not to show up in executable. While testing the code I added a "release pad" for that but then I removed (because I couldn't find the correct place to put that in).

PS: To create such a menu, instead of coding that all by hand use quick menu:

Create menu < menuname > [enter]

then Menu\Quick menu.

It is easier to edit that quick menu. Then when you are done choose Menu\Generate to get programmatic version of that menu (< menu name >.mpr). In a project, VFP still uses the mnx even if you call .mpr (be warned and rename with .prg if you would edit and use programmatic version).

Talking all in English just not to be rude to lurkers. Now I can say a salute in my mother tongue:)
