In my country FoxPro is studied in schools. And for this reason we have a LOT of FoxPro programmers.

On the other hand, there are few C++ programmers.

I really think this is because the learning curve is so different for those two languages. FoxPro have a exponential learning curve. Is simple at the beginning, but the perfect development is very hard to acchieve.

Visual C++, instead, have a logarithmic curve. It's hard and abrupt at the very beginning.

I don't intend to scare you, but I really think that out there are some things very hard to achieve in Visual FoxPro. I mean the perfect optimized code, the lighthing fast SQL queries, the perfect interface, and so on.
