The only way to define a persistent property is to define it as a member of a class. So you would need to either create a new grid class, or modify an existing one. To add a property (or method) just open the class in the designer and choose the "Class" pad on the main menu - the first entry in the drop down adds new properties to the class, the second new methods and the third allows you to edit both Properties and Methods.

At runtime you can use either the native AddProperty() method on the grid, or you can use the global AddProperty() function - either will allow you to create a transient property that is local to the instance for which it is created. But you cannot persist a property unless you add it to the class definition as above.
