Aside from date of creation, you can also get the date and time a file is modified and accessed. If scripting is allowed on your end, you can do something like this:

LOCAL oFSO as scripting.FileSystemObject
oFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
lcModified = ofso.GetFile(GETFILE('scx')).DateLastModified 
MESSAGEBOX(m.lcModified)
