I am developing one system,

initially I ask user id and password, after authentication it shows main menu. In main menu i want to give one option as 'change password'. So i need to know which user has logged in.

Currently what i am doing placing loginid in public after authentication, so during chandge password i can retrieve back - is there any other way to store loginid ?
