You need an ODBC connection string which you send from VFP with SQLSTRINGCONNECT(). If successful it returns numeric connection handle which you can use with all 15 SQL-- functions. Get it at
www.connectionstrings.com/Access
The connection string can be stored in a VFP database and used to connect to a "remote view".
OLEDB conned tion can be used with VFP's CursorAdapter class.

The commands to send to Access, are more or less the standard SQL commands:
SELECT column1, column2 FROM Table [WHERE --]
DELETE FROM Table WHERE.. 
INSERT INTO Table VALUES (,,, )
UPDATE Table SET column = value WHERE ..
.
