Besides what the others said, you can also use SCAN instead of DO WHILE !EOF(), or "SCAN FOR condition" which scans only certain records. Placing multiple REPLACEs in one line could improve performance too.
SCAN [FOR...]
    REPLACE fld1 WITH 100, fld2 WITH 101 IN "Table1"
ENDSCAN
