I guess you meant working with no order is faster, but I'll still ask, just to be sure.
cOrder = SET("Order")
SET ORDER TO 0
SET FILTER TO ...expression  && do you mean this single line executes faster?
* Will SET ORDER TO 0 have an effect if the order is still required on the filtered table? 
SET ORDER TO &cOrder
