Hi,

I use Version() for most of this.
As an example I am working on a form with an Exit button that CLEARS EVENTS and QUIT
but working with this in the VFP IDE I do not want to shut down VFP when I exit the form
I am testing and working with. So in the Exit button of the form I put in code like:

* --- If running in production EXE close down the application.
If VERSION(2) = 0
    CLEAR EVENTS
    QUIT
* ---If running in VFO IDE just release this form.
ELSE
    Thisform.Release
ENDIF
