Hi,
I got the problem solved.
In my case the intrument was set as continuous feed. So I had to take the snapshot reading
disable the comm port, and read in the string from the comm buffer. After this, subtring out and
parse the info. My logic error was not disabling the comm port prior to reading the info. I was in
affect trying to read and parse an ever changing value.
