Not quite sure what you are asking but it sounds as if you want a CRLF for each ">" character. If this is a text file, suck it into a character variable using FILETOSTR() and then simply do a STRTRAN() over that string replacing the > with a CRLF
#DEFINE CRLF Chr(13)+CHR(10)
lcResult = STRTRAN(FILETOSTR([YourTextFile]),'>', CRLF)
