hi,
you can create a toolbar class. in the command window type
Create Class
and in the new class dialog Based On select toolbar. An empty toolbar should appear and you can add buttons into it. then save the class. then in your main prg add this code:
set classlib to myClass
oMyToolBar = Createobject('myToolBarClass')

your toolbar can now be accessed thru the variable oMyToolBar
hope this can get you started. you may also want to check the samples that came with VFP9.
