Hi Scott,

Since that does not sound (VFP)normal, I'd probably ask for additional info,
for example does that happen with all clients at the same time (more or less), or certain groups of clients but not others?
Or rather randomly to single client machines so that one user must wait while the neighbor is happily typing?

If the latter, I would assume a code mistake(s), search for user-activity patterns in order to be hopefully able to get some repro scenarios, so that via something like event-tracing certain methods might turn out to be the bottlenecks, like data-access queries retrieving too many rows or certain shared tables not being properly indexed and so forth.

If the former, I would ask for the backend type and connectivity details, try to watch the network hardware and traffic rate patterns, say broken switches, unusual network activity from other sources at certain times, and so forth
