Like i said, Now i have installed windows 2008 server,on a separate machine, though i have not configured it much, and now can not access FWS on 127.0.0.1:80 [localhost], my question is, is it a must that i should install IIS for localhost to work?

Hello Martin.

I Have created port 80 and named it FWS in windows firewall. I have add TCP as protocol and the rest i chose 'Any', but i did not succeed with localhost or 192.168.0.20. I think there is something i need to do, but i dont know what, because i installed telnet and try to telnet 127.0.0.1 80 but it was returning error as well. i checked host file on systemroot, it was showing 127.0.0.1 mapped for localhost. I have tried on my machine[vista business] which is not on the network, but configured localport to static ip of 192.168.0.20 and subnet of 255.255.255.0 still did not respond.
I forgot to state that with BL what i did is, instead of adding port i added the program [exe] and worked immediately, but that was windows 2003 server. Are there any other security features in to adjust in windows 2008 server. The frastrating part is that when you run FWS [exe] everything seems fine the Appmap_ cursor shows on status bar, but the browser does not connect.

Sincerely

Alwy Ali.
