Sorry about the trouble Kulwant (and also to those who wish to play with that). :-)

Just open the form and remove anything that is in the Data Environment (DE). I forgot to remove it! It has nothing to do with SmartBackup. :-U

Glenn is right, that xrole.dbf is what i used before in switching the role of my local cpu to act as Server (value is 1) for troubleshooting/trial and error testing purposes, or as part of the existing network (2 to act as workstation). With that, I was able to continue developing my apps for further modifications i can think of by switching into 1 without "harming" the real live data as it will point to the local drive instead of that on the network. Switching the value into 2 will immediately resume my app's connection to the existing live data on the network. Now I am using a plain text file for path changing (not just 1 or 2 but the real paths like \\SERVER\D$\BBGSOFT\DATA or simply C:\BBGSOFT\DATA, or any other path I needed) so I can change the value ASAP via notepad.
