Thanks tushar, that illustrates my problem perfectly.

When you choose a NEW value from the combo box, interactivechange fires. My problem is it does NOT fire if the user picks the same value it currently is on.

Secondly, if you add a second object (a textbox) which can receive the focus, the focus does NOT in fact leave the combo box after ANY choice, different or the same.

Both these problems have to be solved by adding a keyboard tab in the valid event of the combo to force the textbox to take the focus.
