Hi Pete,

that sounds like you've got something set up incorrectly, I've done reports like this before using this technique and it displays all the records from one cursor together, then all the records from the other cursor. Double check that you've got the relations set properly and the correct (parent) alias is selected at the start of the report and that you've got the detail bands set to use the correct aliases. If you don't spot anything wrong I'll see if I can knock up a simple example for you.
