What you are looking for cannot be done with VFP (IMHO) but the problem can be solved the way you did it. There are constructs available immediately in other languages that cannot be found in VFP like delegates, closures, code blocks, function pointers, etc... I might be wrong but these are not available in the VFP language which can easily solve your problem without using string manipulation...


Thanks, again, for you time, Tom. I'll stick with my messy solution. At least it's buried in a function and the call is now more elegant.
